Seeing you…
I thought it would be helpful, meeting you early.I thought it would be helpful, showing you early,Introducing you by name to those around me.But seeing you, without truly seeing you… was never the idea, because— I’ve seen you running with your siblings, dancing and singing.I’ve held you in my arms when you fell and hurt yourself.I’ve comforted you.I’ve tickled your belly, and we’ve laughed together.I’ve watched you grow big, and strong, and smart. You were beautiful, kind, important—but, Never being able to hold you, touch you, feel your warmth against mine—That’s hard, because I’ve already seen you.I saw your little feet kick and your body wiggle.I heard your heartbeat.I felt you flutter in my…

Baby Formula Hack Using Evaporated Milk! MUST SEE! Happy Baby!
Welcome to my blog those from Youtube. After being posted on their site for over 2 years, they have decided to removed my baby formula recipe video due to their “harmful and dangerous policy”. I believe the removal was due to the questions and concerns I received in my comments sections, therefore a disclaimer has been added to address any “concern”. Below is the original recipe with the traditional sterilization process shared by my grandmother, as well as my original video. In the original video, I shared a way to make the formula in a large batch and then depot it into a large pitcher for storage. Going forward, I have decided to…

Grandmother, why are you so grand?
Grandmother, why are you so grand? How are you so grand? When I was a child your greatness use to frighten us. Whether it was “go get me a switch!” or “you better eat all them vegetables”, When you talked, we listened. Those cold, sweet morning when you would warm my belly with the most perfect Cream of Wheat will remain forever priceless. Burning my forehead or ears with a pressing comb? Not so much. Grandma, why are you so grand? How are you so grand? This is a question I often pondered as a child. Through my tears on Saturday mornings while we dusted the living room furniture, I wondered. Those cold, sweet mornings when you…

OMG $10k Nursery!!!
Before I begin, let’s be honest…I had a budget and did not expect so much money to be put into our daughter’s space. However due to a slew of “rich auntie” friends and family, a perfectionist mother, and a father who adores both of us, it just happened. All furniture choices in her design are meant to easily flow as she grows. Take her crib for example, it’s a convertible bed. So when it’s time I have the convertible kit which will allow a smooth transition into her toddler years. Her color scheme is meant to be chic and soft, because who wants to be the 16-year-old with horrid pepto-pink walls. Plainly stated,…

This is 34…
Last Sunday I landed myself in the emergency room. This was a first for me because I NEVER get sick or have issues, however there I was…miserable, alone (thanks COVID!), and in serious pain. Me being me, I initally assumed it was a potential hang over from the previous days festivities. Amari and I had thrown the best Juneteeth on the 4th kickback and admittedly I had my fair share of wine, beer, and hard liquor. However, it couldn’t possibly have been more than a hang over, constipation or diarrhea right? So yeah, there we were…who you asked? Brit, Ye, Dom, Mecca, and I taking pictures of the beautiful and illustrious Ms. Macon…

Love After Failed Love
It’s February guys, the month of LOVE. February is undoubtedly my favorite month of the year for many reasons, the main one being it’s my birthday month. I’ve celebrated my birthday every year since childhood. First it was Disneyland every time until I was twelve. Then in college it became a birthday/Mardi Gras turn up every year. Then the annual “NIBB” snowboarding trips started happening. Then Chicago. I always celebrate. On top of it being my birthday month, my favorite holiday also occurs…VALENTINE’S DAY. As a child I use to take so much pride in carefully chosing my Valentine’s Day cards I intended to hand out. I would spend hours making sure the…

“Passion Project” turned Passion Planning…
This past December I did something that I thought I would never do…I got a part-time job at Anthropologie for the holiday season. Now most people would say, “…but aren’t you a pharmacist?!” to which I will reply YES! So why did I decided to work for $10 per hour during the busiest season of the year you ask? Well mainly to have access to their awesome employee discount, and secondly to do something I’ve always wanted…work at Anthropologie. My love for the URBN companies (UO, Free People, Anthropologie, and BHLDN) started with Urban Outfitters in 2005. At the time I was living in the east Oakland hills, going to school at Holy…
